Turbines exhibition in village

An exhibition on proposals to erect five wind turbines at Warwick Hall Farm is being held in Westnewton on Tuesday.

Broadview Energy Developments Limited’s directors and consultants will be available to answer questions at the village hall.

Managing director Jeffrey Corrigan said the power generated by the turbines should be enough to cover the enegry needs of 6,989 households a year.

He said: “Broadview has applied to Allerdale Council for planning permission to erect these turbines, and we are staging the exhibition because we wish to share as much information as possible with the local community, both on the project itself and on its benefits. The proposed development will assist in the fight against climate change by displacing electricity.”

Exhibition information can be viewed at www.westnewtonwind.co.uk
