Greasley parish councillors are calling on people to send in objections against a proposed wind turbine near Giltbrook.
Cllr Margaret Handley said: “The application site is in Greasley and we want to make sure the opinions of Greasley parishioners are brought to the fore when the final decision is made.”
The wind turbine would be on land off Halls Lane near Giltbrook. Greasley parish councillors are objecting the proposals claiming the 400ft mast would be ‘visually intrusive’.
Members also fear that if the application is approved it could lead to a several more turbines being built across the Erewash Valley.
Broxtowe Borough Council is expected to make a decision on the wind turbine in June.
