Targets not achievable

The 2010 target of reducing CO2 emissions by the use of renewables , mainly wind power, is going to fail miserably. The UK Government now sees it is impossible to reach.
The simple reason for this failure is that wind turbines will not deliver any significant CO2 saving. Now we have been told that they save even less than half the amount of emissions we have been led to believe. So, now we have even more reason to object to them.
If we had been able to reach this 10 per cent target, it would have meant a saving of a 0.0004 per cent of all world emissions. The reason for this failure is plain – the wrong technology has been used.
To reach the 2010 target , another 6,500 turbines would have to be built, which is ludicrous.
Knowing the simple fact that wind power stands no chance of altering atmospheric CO2 concentration, how can politicians justify industrialising our precious uplands, mountains and now even our forests (50 to 70 turbines planned for Brechfa Forest) with these massive structures, which are completely alien to any natural form and destroy our environment forever.
The saving of emissions, we are told, is the main reason for having these turbines in the first place. We look forward to any responses from those Welsh politicians who seem obsessed with employing this technology in pursuit of emissions savings.
