Clarification on wind farm contracts

Credit:  By Travis Weik | The Courier-Times | Jun 11, 2019 | www.thecouriertimes.com ~~

Saturday’s follow-up story about a proposed wind farm project incorrectly listed several Henry County property owners as having signed leases with Big Blue River Wind Farm, LLC.

Big Blue River Wind Farm, LLC submitted a permit application to the Henry County Planning Commission last week.

According to the applicaction, the following property owners gave “consent to permit” on their parcels: Jean Allan, Douglas Score, Honey Creek Railroad Inc., Bruce Bailey, Century Meadow Farms LP, Eugene Pittsford, Maurice Crider, Lyle Koger, Timothy Kip Jones, Donna Basey, Michael Score, Kevin Vickery, A Rising Sun, LLC, William Griffin, Larry Abner, Timothy Zambos and John Huckeby.

The application also included the following property owners as giving “consent to reduced setback” on their parcels: Brad Stewart, Brian Becker and Duane Clark.

The Courier-Times regrets any confusion caused by listing those property owners as having signed leases with Big Blue River Wind Farm, LLC.

The permit application also included signed leases on 96 parcels and pending leases on six parcels in the northwest section of Henry County.

The full commission approved use (CAU) application, which includes 22 documents and 391 pages, is available to the public at www.henryco.net/PlanningCommBigBlueRiver.aspx
