Blinking lights

While driving back home from Oklahoma City to Enid after having dinner with our daughter and grandson on Oklahoma 3 to Okarche, I noticed all of the red lights blinking on the wind turbine towers in the area.

If a person wishes to understand or see why the state of Oklahoma has such a big budget problem, take a drive down Highway 3 at night to see all of the blinking lights on the wind turbine towers. You can also drive on Highway 412 and see all of the red lights blinking.

If our Oklahoma Legislature was not giving away tax funds to these wind turbine companies, the state budget problems might be reduced significantly. Now, never mind that the electricity being generated is not primarily being created for the benefit of Oklahoma taxpaying citizens. One might think the energy being produced should stay with citizens of our state since tax incentives are being granted.

Do not ever remember meeting a Republican that is not willing to give a tax benefit to a company/corporation.

Those same Republicans would rather increase taxes on the citizens of Oklahoma with new gasoline tax, cigarette tax or any other method to do harm to middle- and lower-income families. Just look at the tax reduction plan of the state to benefit the highest income folks of our state.
