Wind farms impractical eyesores

This past year, I traveled in Iowa to visit my sister. Iowa is rather proud of their standing on so-called clean energy as they have planted these disgusting wind farms seemingly everywhere.
As we traveled to north central Iowa, we drove for miles with these menacing rotor blades spinning on 300-foot-plus towers encompassing thousands of acres.
The further we drove amid this manmade environmental disaster, the more I thought how glad I am we don’t have this ugly mess in Nebraska. I am actually appalled to think any state legislature would allow this travesty.
It’s windy in the Rocky Mountains, but you don’t and probably never will see wind turbines atop any mountains. So why is it planned to inundate the Sandhills with this impractical, ugly eyesore?
I don’t see the bang for your buck here by harnessing a few kilowatts of power on windy days only in exchange for the rape of the priceless Sandhills.
This whole idea is as insane as, if not more so than, plans to build an oil pipeline across the largest natural resource in the western hemisphere. Thankfully this hasn’t happened.
The Ogallala Aquifer and the Nebraska Sandhills are a gift from God. Let’s not lose them!
