Strangely good news

Credit:  The Enterprise | October 23, 2015 | www.capenews.net ~~

The wind turbine issue seems to be spinning out of control, to paraphrase the situation. In the latest twist, the town missed a filing deadline for a cease and desist challenge. To me, this is strangely good news, since it relieves the planning board from the embarrassment of what was surely a bad idea. My interpretation is that the planning board was trying to retroactively change a bylaw. It is incomprehensible to me that any governing body feels it has the power to retroactively change laws. If not illegal, it is surely immoral and unethical.

Eric Turkington said it best in his article in the Enterprise last week. The time has come to stop this silliness. Bad decisions were made by several parties, including the town, CEC and others. The courts have spoken, saying shut down the turbines. Nearby neighbors have had enough. Let’s move on.
