Police have received a report of a malicious letter sent to an objector of a planning application for wind turbines in Rhydargauau.
The letter has been sent falsely using the name and address of someone who has objected to the building of two wind turbines on land situated near Rhydargauau Road. The letter was not sent by the named person.
Dyfed Powys Police said the content of the letter was not threatening or particularly abusive, but its overall intention is malicious.
The matter was brought to the police’s attention on Tuesday and is being investigated.
Gloucestershire-based Force 5 Energy Ltd has lodged plans with Carmarthenshire Council for the turbines just off the A485 Rhydargaeau Road.
Some residents argue there are 31 turbines visible from the village with more already on the way.
So far there have been some letters objecting to the plans.
Police are warning members of the public that malicious communications of any sort will not be tolerated.
Anyone with information is urged to call 101.
