Appeal launched after wind turbine plans near Glastonbury refused

Credit:  Central Somerset Gazette | December 19, 2014 | www.centralsomersetgazette.co.uk ~~

An inquiry will be made into the refusal of planning permission in West Pennard.

Frank Naish applied to build two 11kw wind turbines and associated sub-station building at Piltown Farm, Piltown, but Mendip District Council rejected the application.

Following a High Court challenge to the inspector’s decision the court ordered the appeal be re-determined.

This does not necessarily mean the inspector will reach a different overall decision about the appeal.

The appeal will be re-determined following an inquiry at a later date.

The public may attend the inquiry and, at the inspectors discretion, will be allowed to present any views they have on the matter.

If you wish to make further comments or modify/withdraw your previous representations visit the planning portal at www.planning portal.gov.uk/pcs or email teamp2@pins.gsi.gov.uk.

Alternatively, you can send three copies to Des Bowring, The Planning Inspectorate, Room 3/10, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6PN.

The appeal reference is APP/Q3305/A/13/2194751.
