Plans for a giant wind turbine in open countryside near Aberaeron have been thrown out by county planners.
This week’s development control committee refused plans for a 77m turbine on land west of Penrhiw Fach, Henfynyw.
Cllr Lyndon Lloyd, who was a member of the site inspection panel, said the turbine would have “a negative effect” on local residents.
And Cllr Gethin James said national energy policies were at fault for encouraging such giant schemes.
“Our policies are to have turbines serving farms and small businesses,” he said.
And he added: “This application would cause significant harm to the landscape.”
