Plans to build a wind farm in southwestern LaGrange County have been scrapped.
County officials were notified last Friday.
The project had been in the works since a preliminary tax abatement was granted in 2010.
Wind conditions around the Topeka area were favorable.
However, in the end, apex clean energy could not secure enough land use agreements with local farmers to make the project financially viable.
