A western Wisconsin town files a lawsuit over a wind farm.
Last year, the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin approved plans for a large wind farm in the Town of Forest in St. Croix County. The town appealed, but the PSC rejected the appeal. The town has now filed a civil action and is asking the court to set aside the PSC’s decision. One concern it has is noise. The town says there are residents who suffer from health issues that could be worsened by noise from wind turbines. Once a judge is assigned, a court date will be set.
