Senators Enzi, Barasso, and Rep. Lummis, with due respect, I suggest you have your staffs check on the status of wind energy development in Germany and the United Kingdom. They will find that electricity from the wind is a mess. This country is headed in the same direction.
Wyoming is a dependable energy producing state. Environmental issues have been addressed with mostly satisfying results. I am sure the wind farm people are concerned, and have all kinds of figures telling how great wind energy is, but the fact remains, if you wanted to kill eagles, song birds and bats, wind towers are great machines. Wind farms are the greatest insult to the land that mankind has come up with.
Where are the environmental groups when we need them?
FRED EISERMAN, Casper
