Readers might like to know that they can sign up to a petition on the No 10 Downing Street website to oppose the proposed windfarm at Den Brook Valley.
Signing this petition does not imply that you are against alternative energy sources, but that you object to the scale and the siting of this ill-thought-out scheme – 400ft-high turbines, the largest in the UK so far, and very close to residential settlements on the very edge of Dartmoor National Park.
The website link is http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Dartmoor/
The closing date for signatures is July 5, 2007.
There is not much time left, so please get clicking.
