Benefits of wind turbines will only be commercial

I have received a letter from Claymoss Properties Ltd (property developers not a renewable energy company) inviting me to a public information day on their proposal to site four wind turbines on Maer Hills.
They state they will be able to answer any questions about their plans. I would like Steve Moors to explain how their stated aims to “protect, preserve and enhance the valuable habitats at Maer Hills and deliver a much needed renewable energy source for the region” will be achieved by the destruction of thousands of mature trees?
What about the destruction of a great number of badger setts and the resulting cull of badgers whose setts have been destroyed?
Or the destruction of bats’ habitat?
Or the destruction of the woodland habitat through the building of roadways to construct and then service and maintain the turbines?
Or the destruction of the landscape due to the sheer size of what will be four of the largest onshore wind turbines?
Or the destruction of the tranquility of Maer Hills and surrounding areas?
How is the quote “much needed renewable energy source”, guaranteed to be for this region once it enters the National Grid? Many local residents may be unaware of the proposal that any energy produced will enter the National Grid at the sub-station in Hill Chorlton.
How any energy reaches the National Grid does not seem to have to be included in the planning application, prompting many questions for residents of Baldwins Gate, Chorlton Moss and Hill Chorlton as to the route and type of link this will be.
Steve Moors surely does not think people are so gullible as to be taken in by his desire for profit in the subsidies his company will receive from this Government dressed up by his slick public relations as of benefit to anyone but himself.
