Eagles’ deaths another case of policy gone awry

Re “Biologists tally eagle deaths at wind farms” (Sept. 12):

It is becoming increasingly obvious that unintended consequences of politicians’ and extreme environmentalists’ actions are causing damage to the planet’s inhabitants.

According to the article, wind energy facilities have killed at least 67 eagles in the last five years. Another report claimed they killed about 1.4 million birds and bats a year. Wind energy produces about 3 percent of our electricity. Will our electricity bills go down?

When they dictated the use of ethanol, our food prices began to increase because corn was used to produce ethanol rather then food for us and animals. In addition, instead of increasing fuel efficiency (MPG) it lowered it as much as 30 percent.
