Un pique-nique anti-éolien organisé

[The wind turbines shall not pass! More or less, that is certainly the hope of the group “Forward Camarade”. EDF Renewable Energies supports erecting four to six industrial wind turbines by 2015 on Les Cabanères, a focal point of the commune of Camarade. But they and others who want to protect the environment and preserve the quality of life in Camarade and on the Pyrenées foothill of l’Ariège à la Garonne did not all understand the issue in the same way. That’s why they organized on Thursday a festive assembly and picnic against this likely erection of industrial wind turbines. Forward Camarade denounces the fact that EDF has hidden the implementation of this project from the public. “It has advanced in the shadows since 2007, during which a mast was erected to measure the wind. In 2011, the municipal council accepted that EDF launched a required “impact study” (acoustic, fauna, flora, etc.). If the project proceeds, by 2020 no fewer than 85 communes will be affected by a windfarm.”]
