Going too far with wind power

Credit:  MIKE RICE, Wellfleet | The Patriot Ledger | Aug 01, 2013 | www.patriotledger.com ~~

Virginia Irvine, who is with WindWise Massachusetts, nailed it with her July 22 letter titled, “Try living near a wind turbine before making baseless claims.”

I live in South Wellfleet, in very close proximity to the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary – Massachusetts Audubon.

That organization is about to begin the permitting process for the construction of what it calls a “micro wind turbine” that, if built, will stand 14.2 stories – to be built on its “bird sanctuary” lands.

A bird sanctuary proposing to construct a bird- and bat-killing wind turbine.

I have to ask: Just how far gone is this country anyway?
