Wind farm proposed for Fillmore County is threat to eagles

The proposed Goodhue County wind farm seems to be gone with the wind, but here in Fillmore County, we have a much bigger threat to bald eagles.
A proposed wind farm in western Fillmore county has the potential to do much more damage to our nation’s national symbol. The Upper Iowa River, which runs along the south edge (1.5 to 2 miles away) of this proposed wind farm, is home to at least 19 breeding pairs of bald eagles. We see them all the time and have them in our trees on occasion. It is ideal habitat for them here along this river, with a very large supply of fish, road-kill deer and many other sources of food.
The potential for destroying eagles and other birds and bats is very high. With the disturbance of wind flow and wind patterns, it seems this in itself would chase away many birds, including eagles, from this ideal habitat.
I would hope that people find this out and oppose any such thing in a place where it is destructive and not needed. Also, all of the karst geology sinkholes and caves in the area make it a really poor place for a wind farm because the ground is very unstable.
