[Melle against new wind turbines]
Het gemeentebestuur van Melle heeft een ongunstig advies gegeven bij het plan van de provincie Oost-Vlaanderen en de windmolensector om zeven extra windmolens te plaatsen tussen het Geerbos, de N42, de site van de Universiteit Gent en de E40-brug ter hoogte van de Proefhoevestraat. Het schepencollege vindt tien windturbines (inbegrepen de drie die er al staan aan de overkant van de snelweg) onaanvaardbaar. De gemeente wil in elk geval het gebied tussen de spoorlijn en het Geerbos vrijhouden van windturbines.
