The location proposed for the Dennis Water District wind turbines is closer to many Brewster and Harwich residents than Dennis residents, but the people closest to the turbine site do not even know it.
This turbine project is directly in back of Brewster homes on Glenwood Drive and Pine View Drive. Have these people been heard from? Did anyone notify them of this turbine project? Many of these people think the “turbine project” is the one on the Orleans line. Would people who have recently purchased homes on Glenwood Drive and Pine View Drive have done so knowing their property values might decrease?
The Dennis Water District is having a public hearing on this proposal at 6 p.m. Monday, April 11, at the Dennis Senior Center, 1045 Route 134, South Dennis. The hearing will be an overview of the proposed project bordered by Old Chatham, Airline, Slough and Depot roads and will explain the three articles at the April 26 annual district meeting.
Unfortunately, many of the public that will be affected are in other towns and cannot vote. But this very important April 11 meeting gives Brewster and Harwich residents, as well as those from Dennis, a chance to speak.
Please attend!
