BOSTON—The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, a public-private agency that helps develop the state’s innovation economy, is getting new leadership.
The administration of Gov. Deval Patrick announced Monday that Executive Director Mitch Adams will step down from the $264,000 per year job as soon as a successor is named.
Under the 10-year leadership of Adams, the agency won more than $75 million in competitive federal grants to accelerate the adoption of electronic health records and to expand broadband coverage throughout Massachusetts.
MTC also launched the Renewable Energy Trust, which invested more than $300 million in clean energy projects across Massachusetts including a nation-leading green schools program, green buildings program and affordable green housing program.
Adams said in a statement that he is proud of his work with the agency.
