Dr. Carl Phillips, an expert in epidemiology and related health sciences, as well as scientific epistemology and methodology, has been qualified as an expert witness to appear before an Ontario Environmental Review Tribunal in Chatham today.
The approval of the Kent Breeze Wind Farm, owned by Suncor Energy – the first under Ontario’s Green Energy Act – is being challenged by Katie Erickson and Chatham-Kent Wind Action, based on the concern the noise from the project will have a negative impact on human health.
Phillips is an advisor to the Society of Wind Vigilence, which has been opposed to wind farms.
