“Deja-view” all over again

As that old Yankee said, “It’s deja-view all over again.”
Another wind ordinance in the making for Rumford. This time, First Wind wins, or am I ahead of myself in assuming this board is preparing an ordinance in conjunction with the wind developer’s wishes.
Or is Mr. Belanger a bit presumptive about Bethel having an ordinance. They have no ordinance, but Mr. Belanger sure lit up with the big 65 decibel number he saw in a draft proposal from Bethel. Seems to me, he must find the sounds from wind turbines so pleasurable, he would have them be louder.
Mr. Sterling was curious about the possibility that the forthcoming proposal might be defeated by the voters and then what and where does it end? I think he answered his own question when he bought the state government into the picture suggesting that the board might want to incorporate new state rules that might develop during the current legislative session.
The ordinance committee in Dixfield failed and passed it back to the state. Don’t worry, Mr. Sterling, the state is there to save you.
Mr. Volkernick and Mr. Adley were relatively quiet during the workshop. It could be they want to do their homework first and speak out armed with knowledge.
Mr. Buccina appeared to me to be the lone wolf, bringing forth a healthy skepticism about the mission of this panel and the impacts wind projects may have on people.
Mr. Puiia often appeared uncomfortable to me, notably apparent when he offered an apology to not allowing citizens outside of Rumford to convey their knowledge.
And the only one in the audience witnessing this workshop who didn’t appear uncomfortable was First Wind’s representative. First Wind sees a win.
Mr. Arsenault made an offer to First Wind to step up and explain themselves before the public. It sure wouldn’t hurt to hear it all, once and for all.
