Campaigners have petition with more than 1,000 signatures
A petition that has attracted more than 1,000 signatures is set to be presented to Central Beds Council in protest at plans for a wind farm.

Langford Parish Council organised the petition against the 10-turbine wind farm the Co-operative Group is hoping to build on land near the village.

And a massive 1,302 people – more than half the number of registered voters in Langford – have added their voices to the protest.

Now the petition, along with an executive summary outlining the reasons for objection, has been sent to every member of the Central Beds planning committee, who are believed to be set to consider the plans next month.

Philip Rutt, Langford Parish Council clerk explained: “Our community considers this proposal to be totally unacceptable.

“It is flawed in concept, has no consideration for the people who live in Langford and should be put aside now without any further waste of precious public resources.”
