Burney, Calif. – The Patagonia Company looking to expand a wind turbine project along Hatchet Ridge in Shasta County.
Mike Nevenzel, Project Manager for the current turbine project, says the company is completeing preliminary studies on the feasibility of building more turbines across highway 299 from the turbines that are currently under construction. Details aren’t being released about how many, or exactly where.
The current project includes 44 turbines that are more than 400 feet tall just North of highway 299. Nevenzel says all the turbines are up and in a testing phase. They are scheduled to go online October 8th.
