A decision to reject a proposal for a wind farm in St. Croix County stands.
In February, the Public Service Commission denied an application for a wind farm in St. Croix County. The plan called for 44 wind turbines to generate more than 100-mega watts of power. However, the PSC rejected the plan because of concerns about noise pollution.
The February decision was only an oral ruling and on Thursday, the commission finalized that decision. Highland Wind Farm, the company behind the project, has 30 day to appeal the ruling.
