It appears a plan to build a wind turbine field in Beaufort County might be allowed to move forward.
Representatives from Beaufort County met with a Defense Department representative to determine any impacts a wind turbine field may have on military operations. The project has come under scrutiny because of its close proximity to the Dare County bombing range.
The project may be allowed to proceed after a number of the turbines are relocated.
