ANTRIM – The New Hampshire Site Evaluation Committee, which is overseeing Antrim Wind Energy’s proposed 10-turbine project, wrapped up public hearings in Concord on Tuesday, and moves to deliberations.

According to John Soininen, Antrim Wind Energy’s project manager and Eolian VP of development, the SEC has scheduled a deliberation period that will take the rest of the week, he said in a phone interview on Tuesday. Antrim Wind Energy is a subsidiary of Eolian Renewable Energy in Portsmouth.

In an article published in the Ledger-Transcript on Dec. 31, SEC attorney Michael Iacopino said that similar wind projects in the past have required anywhere from two to four days of deliberation from the committee in order to reach a decision.

Administrators at the SEC and Eolian Renewable Energy could not be reached for comment by press time.

If the project is approved by the committee, construction dates will follow.

Written statements submitted to the committee have been made public by the SEC on its website, nhsec.nh.gov. To find those letters, click on the section titled, “Current Projects,” and view the Antrim Wind Energy, LLC dockett.
