Turbine ad deceptive

Credit:  Jan 25, 2013 | www.niagarathisweek.com ~~

On the back cover page of the Jan. 10th edition of Niagara This Week, there is an ad “Yes to Wind” from Niagara Region Wind Corporation (NRWC). My questions to NRWC are:

Why are there no houses in the picture? Where are the 149 “receptors” (that’s the dehumanizing term for the homes of families and seniors) within the 2 km radius of the proposed industrial wind turbine site on Canborough Road east of Wellandport? (data source: NRWC)

Why are the clothes on the two workers in the photograph clean? The possible explanation is that these aren’t the workers hired to count and collect the sliced and diced carcasses of birds and bats killed by the industrial wind turbines.

Why are there no trees visible in the picture? Is that because NRWC has cut all the trees down for their industrial wind turbines?

The rural reality is not open green spaces. It is populated by people – too many people who will be living too close to these monstrous industrial electricity generating facilities. It is populated by wildlife. It has trees and woodlots which unfortunately are growing in the spaces where industrial wind turbines have to be erected to “fit” between the rural roads.

Isn’t this deceptive advertising?
