A De Pere Republican is pointing to the results of a study by the state’s public service commission, as proof that wind turbines can cause health problems.
Rep. Andre Jacque says four consulting firms looked at the Shirley wind farm in Brown County’s town of Glenmore. He says they found that the turbines generate low-frequency noise, and that’s a tremendous validation.
Jacque wants the PSC to suspend all wind turbine projects. He says they can find sites responsibly, and it’s an issue that needs to be dealt with immediately.
Jacque says the wind energy issue is different in Wisconsin than some other state, because the turbines are going up near homes, and not in remote areas.
