Brock defends our ridgelines

Credit:  Times Argus | October 25, 2012 | www.timesargus.com ~~

Randy Brock is the right man for Vermont because he wants to protect our most precious natural resources – our ridgelines. These ridgelines are an important, and nonrenewable, resource for the state. Randy Brock wants to put a moratorium on industrial wind projects until we learn more about the impacts or any potential benefits that wind might offer. Right now we know that wind developments are being subsidized by the ratepayers – including low-income energy users like the elderly or unemployed – even though the return on that investment will be extremely low. In fact, significant wind development in Vermont will be extremely expensive and wind power costs have been increasing.

Randy Brock has a real vision for Vermont’s future and will stop the involuntary ratepayer subsidizing of pie-in-the-sky pet projects that benefit a small few.
