Opposers of the proposed wind farm between four Wolds villages have handed in a 500-strong petition to the East Lindsey District Council.
NOWAG (No Wind Farm at Gayton) were set up to oppose to wind farm which could be built between Great Carlton, Gayton le Marsh, Saltfleetby and Theddlethorpe and have been campaigning heavily over the past few months.
The consultation period for the wind farm proposal, put forward by Energie Kontor, came to an end earlier this month.
NOWAG Co-ordinator Melvin Grovenor said: “This sends a clear message to the district council and the developer: this is a wind farm extension too far. Lincolnshire is already doing enough and this would have a substantial impact.”
