Scottish & Southern Energy gets consent for 40 mln stg Toddleburn wind farm

The company said in a statement that the wind farm, which it agreed to buy from I&H Brown in May 2006, is scheduled to be commissioned in early 2009 and will have 12 turbines.
SSE said following commission of Toddleburn and its other recently-consented development at Drumderg, it will have a total of over 230 MW installed wind farm capacity at six sites in Scotland.
It added that it is seeking to secure consent during 2007 to develop five new wind farms in Scotland, with a total installed capacity of almost 300 MW.
