Project will bring no jobs

The development manager for RWE npower renewables says the Atlantic Array wind farm will create up to 3,000 construction jobs.
Not many local people will have the correct certificates for working offshore. No port of operations has been chosen; the closest port will be on the English side of the channel.
The monopiles used as foundation, the transitional piece, plus the wind turbine itself are all made in Europe. Even the grouting cement and generator come via overseas parent companies. The transport is done by overseas companies. The installation is done by foreign shipping groups.
The only jobs we will get are a few manual labour jobs via an agency, or self-employed workers. If these projects are to go ahead, we need to introduce rigorous measures to allocate work to UK/Welsh companies and not those under the umbrella of an overseas company.
These projects have zero economic benefit to our workforce or manufacturing industry.
