Stop throwing tax dollars into ‘green’

Recently there was an article in The Wall Street Journal suggesting that many of the elected officials in Washington are not comfortable with Protection Tax Credits (PTC) and the way they are being doled out without any true accountability.
The solar panel industry and industrial wind turbines immediately come to mind as well as other so called “green” companies. This story suggested that instead of just giving the billions of PTC to any so-called “green” company or business who requests what they think is their cut of this federal pie, rather, when a corporqtion, farm, etc., requests the PTC money they not only state why and how the money will be used, but prove exactly how the use of these funds will benefit the United States at large. Continuing, the story went on to suggest that after money is allotted to whatever “green” company, farm, etc., that the recipient continues to submit reports. Over time the funds will decrease bit by bit until the recipient is able to be PTC or federal tax-dollar free, and can truly operate on their own.
The current system of handing out Protection Tax Credits (PTC) also known as your tax dollars is simple – any company that requests money, they are then given the money. No accountability or very little as we’ve learned from the solar panel industry scandal.
Don’t you think it is time for the people you and I elect to hold federal and state offices accountable to us on how they spend our money? Don’t you think we should at least be comfortable in how our money is being handed out, knowing our grandchildren will be paying this debt?
Please encourage your elected officials to vote no on any other Protection Tax Credit inclusion in a bill. Recently, the folks in Washington have made the attempt to put, or even hide, this PTC in various other bills, with the hope no one would notice. You notice, you know the truth; you know the next generations can’t afford this careless spending.
