When will they learn the truth about turbines?

I find it outrageous that wind power companies are allowed to submit planning applications in areas where it is obvious they will be rejected.I refer to the two recent planning appeals adjacent to Dartmoor which have agreed with the refusal of the local authority.
National Parks and their environs are protected by law from inappropriate development, and power companies know this.
Devon is a place where many, many people love to live and quite rightly regard this area as one of the most beautiful in the country.
Wind turbines have been proved to be inefficient to the tune of about 75 per cent; they are noisy and cause ill health to many people living in the areas, and are also vastly subsidised by taxpayers without their knowledge.
Most of all they are ruining this precious landscape which is not ours to ruin.
We cannot get any more landscape as Nature intended, but we can equal the so-called energy production of wind turbines by paying more heed to energy efficiency and insulation which is, according to figures produced, 55 times more efficient than wind turbines.
Just ask yourself: If wind energy is all the power companies claim then why do they not use their own money from our inflated energy bills instead of taxpayers’ money?
Finally, if anybody who saw the recent Coast programme on BBC Television showing the proposed windfarm on the Isle of Lewis is still in favour of industrial windfarms, all I can say is “Give me strength!”
