Fairhaven wind turbine start up delayed

FAIRHAVEN – The wind turbines will not turn on today and Wednesday as previously expected. Sumul Shah, the turbines’ developer, said the delay is due to a holdup in the installation of a component from the utility.
“This is complicated machinery, he said. “A lot of things have to come together for the tests to happen.”
Shah said he did not know when the turbines would be turned on but that he hoped to have a schedule ready in time for tonight’s health board meeting on the turbines at 6:30.
