The Open Spaces Society said it is pleased that Community Windpower Ltd has withdrawn its appeal for 20 wind turbines at Davidstow but is worried that the company will submit a new application.
Cornwall’s planning committee rejected the application and the appeal was set for a public inquiry.
Kate Ashbrook, secretary of the society, said a new application would still be extremely damaging to the landscape and public access. She said: “Turbines will destroy the magnificent views.”
