If the Democrats become tomorrow’s winner of the mid-term elections in USA, it may also be a win-win situation for the Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas, CNNMoney.com wrote today. It estimates that the positive democratic attitude to the environment could translate into an increased use of wind power and other sources of alternative energy.
Share analyst Rune Møller of the Danish Jyske Bank believes, however, that everything depends on the so-called PTC agreement which is a subsidy scheme for wind energy in the USA.
»I believe that both the Democrats and the Republicans will extend the agreement. But an extension and an improvement of the agreement is, of course, more likely, if the Democrats come out of the election as winners,« Rune Møller added.
