Noise apology from offshore windfarm operator

An offshore windfarm operator has apologised to residents in advance for noise caused by drilling earth for underground cables.
RWE npower renewables has sent letters to householders about the drilling for an 11km route to install underground cables from the beach at Pensarn to a new substation being built at St Asaph. Drilling runs until September 21. The cables, soon to go under the railway line near Belgrano and Pensarn, are part of onshore construction works for Gwynt y Môr offshore windfarm. Network Rail has requested it is carried out on a 24 hours basis to ensure it is completed quickly.
