Skelmersdale councillor complains about photographs of proposed wind turbine

Digmoor ward councillor Jackie Coyle has complained about the photographs shown at the meeting of what the turbine would look like.

She has taken her own photograph (pictured below left) which she claims is more representative of how the turbine would look.

Cllr Coyle said: “Their wind mast in their picture is 80m high yet the same height as the trees, but my photo taken this evening shows the black wind mast in situ and how the wind turbine at 125m would really look.”

A company spokesman said Cllr Coyle’s photograph was taken from a different place than the ones that were displayed at the meeting.

She said the company’s photographs were accurate and added: “We would reiterate that the photomontages we displayed have been prepared using industry standard techniques which have been used on other similar wind turbine project developments.”
