Am Mittwoch schlugen gegen 15.15 Uhr in Mittenwalde Flammen aus einer Windkraftanlage. Die Rauchwolken waren weithin zu sehen. Feuerwehren aus Mittenwalde und Milmersdorf eilten mit rund 20 Kameraden zum Einsatzort, mussten allerdings zusehen, wie das Gehäuse des Windrades ausbrannte.
Sie blieben in Bereitschaft, denn inzwischen hatte das Feuer einen Flügel erfasst, der auf die Erde zu stürzen drohte. “Erst wenn das geschieht, können wir mit den Löscharbeiten beginnen”, so Einsatzleiter Alexander Hinz von der Milmersdorfer Feuerwehr. Zuvor hatten die Kameraden das Gelände rund um die Anlage gesichert. Der Betreiber wurde benachrichtigt.
