Sad news from Wales

Yesterday morning came the very sad news of the death of Mal Davies.

His devoted partner, Ellyn, was extremely upset when she phoned me but said that Mal had died peacefully on Friday night. He had been in hospital since suffering a second stroke at the beginning of April.

Wind Warriors everywhere know and appreciate the invaluable contribution Mal made to our common cause with his brilliant SOCME website. In spite of ill health he was tireless and uncompromising in his fight against the destructive wind industry wherever it threatened as well as in his own beloved Wales – no NIMBY he. His passing leaves a great gap in the ranks of those who care about the environment. Many of us will feel that we have lost a friend.

Our heartfelt sympathy goes to Ellyn who has been his constant and greatest source of comfort for some years and especially during his last illness.
