GIDDY UP! GIDDY UP! GIDDY UP!
OVER THE GREEN MOUNTAIN TO THE GUZMAN FARM

Dear Ridge Protectors and Supporting Friends:

Put August 26th, 2006 – 5 PM-9 PM on your calendars for a wonderful evening at the Guzman Farm.

NEK Legislators and Governor Douglas have been invited. There will be a Fabulous Silent Auction with something for everybody. Some of the items are: a Weekend Get Away; Clothing from Samii; Gardening Services; Trail Rides; a Massage; Homey Treasures; a Canoe Trip; Original Art and much, much more!

We have big hopes of raising from $12,000 to $15,000 to help pay this month’s $20,000 legal bill.

We’d like to sell in advance 200 tickets, each for $50.00.

We’d love you all to come to this fun evening. If you want to purchase a ticket, please reply to this email.

Here’s some info about Luis Guzman:

Luis Guzmán (born January 1, 1957) is a very successful Puerto Rican actor.
For much of his career, his squat build and brooding countenance, garnered him roles largely as sidekicks, thugs, or policemen, but his later career saw him in more mainstream roles. He is a favorite of directors Steven Soderbergh, who cast him in Out of Sight, The Limey, and Traffic, and Paul Thomas Anderson, who cast him in Boogie Nights, Magnolia and Punch-Drunk Love.

Born in Cayey, Puerto Rico and graduate of City College of New York, he actually began his career not as an actor, but as a social worker with young people. But Guzman moonlighted as an actor and became heavily involved in street theater and independent films.

His numerous movie credits include Carlito’s Way, Welcome to Collinwood, Stonewall, Waiting…, The Salton Sea, and Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. He has also appeared on the TV shows Frasier and Oz and had a role in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

Guzmán was the star of a short-lived 2003 television comedy called Luis.

He is also well known for commentating on VH1’s “I Love the 70s/80s/90s”.

He is married and lives with his family in Sutton, Vermont.
