Cherry Valley passes wind ordinance

On Thursday evening our town board passed the proposed wind ordinance. It establishes setbacks of 2000′ from residences and 1200′ from lot lines, with a sound level of 6 decibels above ambient at lot lines. Maximum height of 410′. The formula was taller turbines + higher ridges = greater setback.
