    Cardiff Rally

Tuesday 24th May, National Assembly for Wales, Senedd Building, Cardiff Bay CF99 1NA

Coaches leaving from all points in Montgomeryshire. Please see below for more information and contact details.

We are all affected in Montgomeryshire, so please join us in Cardiff to STOP:

    Transport gridlock
1000s of extra vehicle journeys for turbines, hub and pylons on our county’s roads which will choke Montgomeryshire and routes to the Cambrian Coast.

Damage to our roads, bridges and homes
Roads, roundabouts and bridges will have to be upgraded and hedgerows ripped out to cope with the transportation of the windfarms, pylons and the 240 tonne transformer at the substation site.

    Landscape & habitat being destroyed
We live in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK, with stunning landscapes and a rich diversity of wildlife. 400ft turbines and 150ft pylons will scar our landscape and damage wildlife habitat forever.

    Inefficient technology
Wind turbines on an industrial scale, covering 1,000 square miles of Mid- Wales, will only produce 4% of the Welsh renewables target.

    £ Rip Off
Wind farm subsidies go directly onto our electricity bills, they are forecast to rise by 40%.

    Job losses
The tourist industry and local businesses that rely on tourism will suffer.

    Flooding
Each turbine will be as tall as the London Eye and will require concrete foundations the size of an Olympic swimming pool. Peat uplands will be damaged and the run off could vastly increase flooding.

    Property price crash
Affected properties will lose up to 40% of their value.
Farming, land & livestock adversely affected by the pylons and wind power infrastructure.

Come to Cardiff and Make History!
